  Perspective- Your Prison or Your Passport Let’s imagine a situation shall we, say you are in a bus and the driver suddenly applies the brakes and your phone falls down. There are a few scratches on the screen guard. What is the first thing that comes to you mind? Is it gratefulness for the fact that the damage was limited to the screen guard or is it anger that now you will have to change it? This is the half glass full or empty situation in modern day terms. You must have already guessed the motive behind my hypothetical situation. It highlights the importance of perspective. The meaning of perspective according to merriam-webster is a mental view or prospect. Perspective is sometimes more important than the situation itself.   Ray of Hope Dolly Parton once said “The way I see it, if you want the rainbow you have got to put up with the rain” and I think it is especially relevant in these uncertain times when you don’t know what’s coming next. A few months ago we were hit by this sudden wave of uncertainty, the COVID 19. In the beginning of this pandemic I was pretty sure that all this was just temporary and we would most definitely rise above the situation. But now approximately 9 months later I don’t see any change in the situation. We are still at home, studying online and constantly hoping for a ray of sunshine to pass through these dark clouds. I will not lie by saying that I have been constantly motivated through these times and had unwavering faith that things would resume back to normal. What I do want to say is that regardless of the outcome it generates we have to make the best out of any situation we are put in.
